About Me

My photo
My hubby Khalid and I welcomed our sweet little Maya Jayne into the world on April 8th, 2009 and couldn't be more in love with her! We also have a Sharpei/Boxer mix named Ariel...best dog ever. Khalid works as a Program Manager and I am staying at home with Maya. I love my life and couldn't imagine it any differently! :)

So....going to try to start this up and stick with it!

Well I thought I would use my blog to start tracking everything that's going on in my life. My blog is random and I am ok with that because I am random too!
Baby Elneser is doing great so far and I feel so blessed to feel my little one kick and flip all day long. So far....night time seems to be when baby moves the most. I can count on it in between 5:30-7:30pm and I love it! Khalid and I have been very entertained the last week as we WATCH Baby E doing karate chops and kicks. I can't seem to stop laughing....will this ever become boring or mundane? I don't think so. :) I posted a preggo pic at the bottom. It's my 23 week pic and we haven't taken one since. I'm now at 26 weeks so we need to get with the 'picture.' (Teehee...sorry I couldn't resist.)
We have decided on names. For a girl, we have had Maya Jayne picked out for a long time. (Like, way before we even became pregnant.) For a boy, we have finally decided on Jax Michael. Both middle names are family names, which we didn't really plan...just happened that way! My parents bought us the crib last week and are coming in a couple weeks so my dad and Khalid can paint and then we will all put the crib together. I bet once all that is done, I will spend so much more time back in the nursery. :)
Now that the holidays are over, I keep thinking of how fast April is going to be here. Crazy that we only have 14 weeks left! I am still feeling pretty good for the most part. Still going to physical therapy twice a week for my back pain. The left side of my pelvis is rotated forward which causes my tailbone to torque either way. That is what is pinching my sciatic nerve. Luckily they have stopped the pain from traveling down my leg anymore. So glad because that was awful!
Khalid is so excited about Baby E. I really couldn't ask for a better husband. He is so good to me and I know he is going to be a wonderful father. He has taken over a lot of the cooking (ok, most) because smells still really bother me. (Meats in particular...bleck!) He also tickles my back every single night to help me fall asleep. That alone is heaven to me!!! After trying for 8 months, we still feel like we need to pinch ourselves that this finally happened. What a miracle. Can't wait to see what the Easter Bunny will put in our basket....will it be a little Maya or a little Jax???? Hmmmm.....
