My hubby Khalid and I welcomed our sweet little Maya Jayne into the world on April 8th, 2009 and couldn't be more in love with her! We also have a Sharpei/Boxer mix named Ariel...best dog ever. Khalid works as a Program Manager and I am staying at home with Maya. I love my life and couldn't imagine it any differently! :)

Maya Jayne Elneser!! :)

Well I am a week and a half late updating this.....but hey.....can you blame me?! I've been a tad bit busy!! We went into the hospital April 7th in the evening to start Cervidil. I woke about 4am on April 8th with contractions that started getting worse pretty fast. Khalid helped me breathe through them and they started my Pitocin (or devil drip as I like to call it) at 7:30am. I made it to 5 cm and then I requested the epidural. The anesthesiologist arrived about 9:00am and I was feeling great pretty quickly! My parents, sister and Khalid's parents hung out through the day with us and it was so exciting. Every time they checked me I had moved another centimeter and around 2:00pm, they came in and said I was complete!! She went to check with Dr. Hall and they decided to have me start pushing around 2:30. Took about 45 minutes and all the nurses were so excited to find out the gender too!! I can truly say that that helped me put all my strength into pushing....I could not WAIT to find out boy or girl!! Maya Jayne Elneser was born at 3:14 pm. 7 pounds 7 ounces and 20 3/4 inches with a full head of long hair! She started wearing bows the second day home from the hospital!!! :) We are absolutely in love with our little angel and I am just enjoying every single moment. This is a love I could never describe....now I get it.

What a precious doll baby! Glad you adjusting and still finding time to keep your blog updated so we can see that sweet baby! You are right, you just have to experience it to "get" it. There just aren't words adequate enough! It is the best!!
