I took Maya in for her weight check (one week later) and she gained 13 oz in a week!! Yea Maya!!! Our plan is working and I feel so much better. (I'm sure she does too!!!) She is napping better now too. (Most days.)
We had a pretty fun weekend. Khalid's birthday was Sunday but we went out to dinner Saturday night just the three of us and had so much fun. We went to Mama Roja's and sat outside by the lake. Maya would live outside if we let her! She just relaxed and played and smiled. And then......it happened. I was nibbling on her little piggies and she GIGGLED!!! I have been waiting forever for this! She started smiling (and not the gas kind) really early on in her short little life so I just thought, naturally, that she would be laughing really quickly. Not the case! She has always been SO smily, but she always looked like a laugh was stuck in her throat. :) Well Saturday night, it came right on out......and kept coming! We were making fools of ourselves to keep her going and I swear I almost cried!! There is no sweeter sound. :)
I added a video of Maya sitting and then standing (with my assistance of course!). She looks so proud when she does it and I couldn't be more proud of EVERY little thing she does!! :) Excuse the toilet paper in the background!! We had just gone to Sam's so I was putting everything away!
(Khalid was a bit embarassed when I told him I was putting this video on my blog, but he got over it! No man should ever be embarassed of their "daddy voice." LOL!!!)

I love the "daddy" voice :) You're absolutely right... no man should ever be embarrassed about that! And yeah for Maya! She's getting so big and doing so much :)
